A school bus burst into flames Tuesday afternoon in , N.J.

Police said seven student passengers and a driver were  shortly before 4 p.m., News 12 New Jersey reported.

All the people onboard were able to escape before the fire got out of control, according to News 12. Firefighters quickly doused the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

“There was fire everywhere,” 10-year-old Bryce Ayers, who was driving past with his mother and not on the bus, told News 12. “The battery exploded. We could hear the windows cracking.”

However, the cause of the fire remains unclear.

Tuesday’s incident was the second time within a month that a .

On April 17 in Upper Township, a bus with 10 students on board . In that incident, the driver safely got all the students off the bus before the fire got out of control.

“She was a true hero and showed the utmost care for our students, making sure they were ,” Ocean City Schools Business Administrator Timothy E. Kelley told Philadelphia Fox affiliate WTXF after the incident.

However, the driver asked for her name not to be revealed. A local mom told BreakingAC all the and she worked for Sheppard Bus Service.
