PHOTOS: Remembering the spectacular life of Siegfried & Roy

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:
Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn created a legendary illusion team together, an entertaining duo of German-American magicians. Siegfried & Roy famously performed their acts alongside white lions and white tigers, which succeeded in drawing large crowds to their performances. The duo had a long-standing residency at the Mirage Resort and Casino, hosting the most-visited show in Las Vegas from 1990 to 2003. On Oct. 3, 2003, Roy suffered a career-ending injury when one of their tigers, Montecore, attacked him during a show, biting his neck and dragging him offstage. After creating an animated sitcom, the two retired from show business in 2010. On May 8, 2020, Roy died of coronavirus at the age of 75. On Jan. 13, 2021, Siegfried lost his battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 81. Look back at their spectacular life on and offstage.
